Called to Serve

Well, it's been a while. So I've learned a lot. A ton of my friends have left on missions. They've been trickling out of my life for about a year and now they are pretty much all gone. I've looked back and so many of them have taught me so much. So I'm not going to tell you about every single one of my friends, but a few that have stuck out. The ones that I'm most grateful for.

Elder Harrison Allen left in August 2010. It's so strange to think that he's been gone for that long. He's in Hungary and having a good time. We were in seminary together and just became immediate friends. He's a great person and I get so excited to hear all his stories when the letters come.
Elder Allen
(I would have put a picture of me and him, but this one is the greatest. I just love it.)
Elder Ben Forsyth left October 2010. Oh my lanta. He's currently serving in Oregon. He says that he loves it and is having the greatest time. This boy is so fun. I met him at EFY and he's just amazing. We've been writing a lot. And Boy, it's been the greatest. He only has  10 months left and I'm super excited to see him again :)
Elder Forsyth
Elder Ryan Mersmann left November 2010. He's serving in Korea. He loves life. We came to be friends through DECA. I love DECA, He's the one that made it fun for me and we have had the greatest experiences in Kentucky. I just miss him and I can't wait till he gets home.
Elder Mersmann
Elder Logan Chugg left December 2010. He's loving his time in Germany. When he got his call he was so excited that he was going out of the country. His whole life he had been struggling with his health and he thought he was "going to end up serving in the Salt Lake City South mission" his words, not mine. He took German in school so he was just so happy. Logan has helped me through a lot. More than I could imagine. If someone were to look at our relationship no one would guess that we know so much about each other. He's an amazing person.

Elder Chugg
Elder Taylor Stephens left July 2011. Him and I became friends through a blind date. It was a blast. We've been like best friends since we met. He is a very good listener. We never didn't have fun when we were with each other. It is an honor to know him. I know he's doing great things in Brazil.
Elder Stephens

Elder Drew Beard left August 2011. I don't know if I can put into words anything about this one. He's brilliant. I have never met anyone like him before. He's serving in Chile and loving every second of it. I miss him. I'm so happy he's serving the Lord.
Elder Beard
These men were truly called of God to serve the people of those countries. I have a testimony of the gospel. I'm so happy that they are able to teach the very one subject that I love so much to others who haven't heard it. Forever I will be grateful for those Elders who give up two years of their life to serve the Lord.
